The participant pays it at checkout, on top of the ticket price. It is shown as its own line before anyone enters a PIN, and the organizer receives the full ticket price with nothing deducted.

Nothing. There is no signup fee, no monthly subscription, no listing fee and no charge for creating an event. Laces earns only when a participant successfully pays.

Our standard rate is UGX 900 plus 5% of the order on MTN mobile money, and UGX 1,500 plus 5.8% on card. Card payments are charged in USD at Flutterwave's exchange rate, plus a conversion margin of up to 2%. Airtel Money is charged at the Airtel rate of UGX 900 + 5%. An Airtel payment retried to a third attempt goes through our backup network at the standard rate of UGX 900 + 5%, and the participant confirms the new total first. The exact total is always shown before the participant confirms. On a UGX 50,000 ticket that is UGX 3,400 by MTN, so the participant pays UGX 53,400; UGX 3,400 by Airtel Money, so the participant pays UGX 53,400; and UGX 4,400 by card, so the participant pays UGX 54,400. The organizer receives UGX 50,000 either way.

Nothing at all. A free event pays no flat fee and no percentage, because there is nothing to take a cut of.

The Laces Service Fee includes what our payment processors charge. It is not added on top of it. Eversend charges from UGX 460 per MTN mobile-money payment, varying with the amount (https://eversend.co/pricing); Flutterwave charges 3% on Airtel Money and 4.8% on cards (https://flutterwave.com/ug/pricing). Laces pays those charges out of the fee, and what remains is Laces's share.

No. Payment processing is absorbed by Laces out of the service fee, so it is never billed to the organizer or itemised to the participant. That absorption is why card is priced higher than mobile money: the card networks cost more to process, and the difference is inside the one fee rather than added as a second line. One fee line either way, disclosed before the money moves.

As soon as the payment is confirmed, on MTN mobile money — withdrawable immediately from your Instant Wallet, any day of the week, with no settlement wait. Airtel Money and card entries clear a little differently: they settle into your Standard Wallet once our payment partner confirms them, usually within about a day and a half, and that wait is theirs, not ours. Your Total Earnings separates what is available in each wallet from anything still clearing, so you always know where you stand.
