# What's new on Laces

New features, improvements and fixes on the Laces website and app, for organizers and participants.

### [Solutions and comparison pages](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-30-solutions-and-compare)
The new Solutions menu has a page for each kind of event, from runs, rides and swims to conferences, concerts, workshops, camps, book clubs and community meetups. Event companies and developers each have a page as well.
The new Compare pages set Laces side by side with Google Forms, Pesapal, MoMo Ticketing, Quicket, MOOKH and Eventbrite. The pricing page now includes a fee comparison for a UGX 50,000 ticket.

### [Age limits for events](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-29-age-limits)
You can now set a minimum and a maximum age in the event details in the Laces app. Both are optional.
The event page shows the age range, for example “Ages 9–25”. The age group choices on the registration form only cover that range, so participants can’t pick a group the event doesn’t admit.

### [One navigation bar across every event page](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-27-event-page-navigation)
Every page that belongs to an event now has the same navigation bar, with links to the agenda, the Spotlight graphics, the how-to-pay guide and sharing, plus “Find my ticket”.
Event pages also use a light shade of the event’s colour as their background. Long event descriptions fold behind a “Read more” link, so the registration form is quicker to reach on a phone.

### [Camps as an event type](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-27-camps)
Camps and retreats are now an event type on Laces. Pick “Camp” when you create the event, and its page and registration use wording that fits a camp.

### [Ready-made graphics for your event](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-26-spotlight-graphics)
Each event now has a Spotlight page with graphics you can post straight away: an event poster with the QR code and registration link, and a “Scan to register” QR graphic.
Every graphic comes in light and dark versions and in feed, story and square sizes. The QR graphic also comes as an A4 poster for printing. Download a PNG or PDF, or share it from the page.
Since 27 October, the Spotlight page also has its own share link.

### [Ask your own registration questions](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-26-custom-questions)
You can now write your own questions for your event’s registration form in the Laces app. Add several at once, edit them later, and choose which ones are required.
Participants answer them when they register. The answers appear on each order in the Laces app.

### [Event agendas](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-24-event-agenda)
You can now add an agenda to any event in the Laces app. Type it in, or paste a schedule you already have and the app suggests sessions you can edit. Sessions can have speakers and photos.
Participants see a preview on the event page and the full agenda on its own page. During the event, the current session is highlighted, and a “Jump to today” link goes straight to the right day.
The agenda page has a QR code you can download and print on the programme, and a share block for WhatsApp and social media.

### [Shirt colours and sizes on tickets](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-22-kit-colours)
If your event comes with a shirt or kit, you can now list the colours on offer in the Laces app. Participants choose a colour and a size on the registration form. Size is required.
Each participant’s colour and size appears on their order, in your participant list and in exports. That makes it simple to plan your order with the printer and to hand out the right kit on the day.

### [The Laces API for developers](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-12-partner-api)
The Laces API lets a website you control list your events and ticket types and take registrations and mobile money payments.

  * **Three ways to check out:** send buyers to a Laces payment page, open checkout in a window on your page, or build your own form.
  * **API keys from the app:** owners and admins create keys in the Laces app and choose what each key is allowed to do.
  * **Webhooks:** your server is told when an order is paid, fails or is refunded.
The API costs nothing extra. Participants pay the same fee at checkout as they do on Laces. The documentation is at docs.laces.run, and laces.run/solutions/developers explains what you can build.

### [Add an event to your calendar](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-12-add-to-calendar)
Participants can now save an event to their calendar straight from the event page. The button supports Google Calendar, Outlook, Yahoo Calendar and Apple Calendar.
The calendar entry carries the event’s date, time and venue, so participants get a reminder from their own calendar.

### [Choose which registration fields are required](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-07-optional-registration-fields)
Organizers can now mark questions such as gender and age group as optional when they set up an event in the Laces app.
On the registration form, optional questions show a “No answer” choice. Participants register faster when they only answer what the organizer really needs.

### [Several tickets in one order](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-06-multiple-tickets)
Registration now asks whether you are buying a single ticket or several. One order can hold several ticket types, so a family or a team can register together and pay once.
Organizers see every ticket in the order in the Laces app.
Since 22 October, an order can hold up to 15 tickets of the same type.

### [A how-to-pay guide for every event](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-10-01-how-to-pay-guide)
Every event now has a “How to pay” page. It walks participants through registering and paying, one step at a time. The event page links to it from “How do I register and pay?”.
Organizers can share the guide in group chats and posts, so participants who have never paid online for an event know what to expect.
Event pages also show a browser tab icon in the event’s own colour.

### [Organizer contacts and distances on event pages](https://laces.run/changelog/2026-09-29-organizer-contacts-and-distances)
Every event page now has the organizer’s contact details: a phone number to call, an email address and a WhatsApp link. The same contacts go out in the confirmation email, so participants know who to ask about the event.
Organizers set these contacts in the Laces app.
Events with distances, such as runs, rides and swims, can now list each distance on offer. Participants see every distance on the event page before they register.
